Ali Haider

Ali Haider has been the blue-eyed boy of Pakistani pop scene for the last 15 years. So it came as a shock to most people when he was caught red-handed with the model Neha in his friend Nomi's(also a model) apartment. Big deal,huh? Not really, in most parts of the world, but this is Pakistan where the majority still views these actions as shameful. It’s not that they don’t happen or are rare. Sexual encounters of this kind take place here as frequently as you can expect from any other part of the world. It’s just that the people here prefer to act naïve about it.
Different versions were published in various tabloids, but the most authentic anyone got with the incident was Dawn Images. They first published Ali Haider’s whiny version of how his pristine reputation was tarnished by this Nazim who to get even with his friend over some political dispute dragged him(Ali Haider) into it. That the three of them were preparing for a shoot and when the Nazim with his goons barged into the apartment and handed the three of them to the police.
Then they published the Nazim’s version. He said that these three were under the influence of alcohol(which was later confirmed when all tested positive for alcohol at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre) and had attracted the attention of the neighbours by throwing liquor bottles from the balcony and shouting obscenities. So the Nazim was forced to do what he did.
Now I know politicians in Pakistan are rarely honest if at all, and this Nazim may have done this just to get some political mileage as Ali Haider alleged. But what this Nazim has to say about the incident makes perfect sense. You just can’t force yourself into someone’s apartment and throw them to the police without some genuine reason. So the only other viable explanation is that Ali Haider was involved in screwing around.
It doesn’t mean I’m out to malign him. I love some of his earlier songs, and he’s a good enough singer to make it this far. But that doesn’t absolve him of wrongdoing, does it? Truth is always bitter.
Ali Haider’s female friends may be a little stubborn to accept this reality, but ask any male fan and he would be readily replying in the affirmative.
Because that makes sense. I mean this guy is almost 40 years, if not more, and he’s a bachelor. I’ve wasted almost half of my blog harping about how excruciatingly difficult it is for us not to ‘take matters into our own hands’. And we are ordinary guys with religious reservations and no real exposure, at least not in the order of magnitude that Ali Haider has.
Since he’s in showbiz, the sky is the limit for Ali Haider as far glamorous babes are concerned. So if has no religious inclinations, what’s stopping him from indulging in some humping around every now and then? I would do exactly that if I were him.
I can bet you anything that he has been into it for ages and is just upset that he was exposed in front of the world.
